Did you know: Japanese incense has a long cultural history. It came to Japan with Buddhism and was used for prayer and purification. Later, fragrance appreciation developed into Kodo, “the Way of Incense,” where people traditionally speak of “listening” to fragrance. Today incense is used both in religious settings and in daily life for reflection, relaxation, and atmosphere.
