We met Chef George Mendes about a decade ago at the (now closed) Michelin-starred Iberian restaurant, Aldea in NYC. Every bite of every dish made us smile.

We are thrilled to share his collection of over 100 recipes in "My Portugal" (Hachette). Written in partnership with Genevieve Ko, who has coauthored cookbooks with several other internationally-reknowned chefs, this story of Portuguese gastronomy is a kitchen must.

This cookbook features a mix of home-style and restaurant recipes alongside stories of his native Portugal. It's true, some of these are for the ablest in the kitchen (so follow the recipes closely), but all are 100% true Portugal and a glimpse at the culinary richness of the country.
