Canns Down Press Wrapping Paper: "Water-Lily"

'Water Lily' is a wrapping paper sheet designed by Swiss artist, Eugene Grasset, extracted from "Plants and Their Application to Ornament (London 1897)" - a richly illustrated book created in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston that demonstrates how the forms of plants can inspire decorative art. 

Working in Paris, Grasset fused careful observation of nature with inventive stylization, creating designs that shaped textiles, architecture and the applied arts. His elegant chromolithographs and original approach made him a major influence on many artists of the Art Nouveau movement, inspiring generations to blend natural forms with artistic imagination. 

This wrapping paper is printed on paper that is ecologically sourced, sustainable and recyclable.
