Paper Boat SWIM

Paperboat.pt is a 100% Portuguese brand that emerged in May 2019, from an old dream, driven by our daughters, who were always asking for different swimwear than their friends. What started out as a joke quickly became a passion. 

...And the best projects pull from passion and a little something else. 

Inês & Catarina were architects first, so they mashed up their foundation with a flare for fashion, what their children asked for and, above else, with a strong intent to develop a line that was in tune with the environmental and social reality in which we live. 

THE 411

The styles, colors and patterns are designed by a team of Portuguese designers who they work alongside, but the pieces are only produced after their children´s approval.

All the fabrics are made from recycled polyester, most from plastic bottles caught in the ocean.

All their production is national, 100% Portuguese, to maximize local support and minimize their carbon footprint. All confections are manual.

They do not use plastic and each piece is delivered in a cotton bag.

The leftovers fabrics from past collections are used for the #desperdiciozero #zerowaste movement, where they create smaller pieces, such as skating covers and scrunchies.
